The NHS will start vaccinating patients with the new Covid-19 vaccine very shortly. For further details please click here.
You will be contacted when it’s your turn. At first the vaccine will be offered to people who are most at risk from coronavirus before being offered more widely.
We expect the vaccine to be offered first to:
- People who live in care homes and care home workers
- People aged 80 or over
- Health and social care workers
PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE THE SURGERY for information, advice or appointments about the vaccine as we cannot provide this and enquiries will overwhelm our phone system. The NHS has a rigorous system in place to contact patients directly.
We will update this page with further information as it becomes available to us.
Please note that the Covid vaccination programme is a National Priority and GPs, Nurse and other Practice staff may be re-deployed to deliver this work. This means that there will be fewer appointments available for routine consultations at the surgery and we will have fewer staff to deal with your requests. There may be additional delays in dealing with prescription requests and other queries. We are also having to deliver flu vaccinations for those aged 50-64 at the same time putting an even bigger strain on our services.
Please bear with us during this difficult time. The team at the Family Surgery are doing the best for your care during this time.
